Save the ocean for the sake of future generations.

Water is essential for the survival of all living organisms on the planet. Oceans cover nearly 70% of the earth’s surface, leaving only 30% for dry land. It provides long-term sustainability for humans and other species on the planet. The ocean produces half of the world’s oxygen and feeds billions of people worldwide.

Many people work in fisheries, which helps countries strengthen their economies. It is expected that 40 million people will find work in ocean-based industries in the coming years. Countries with a sea on their territory have the advantage of being self-sufficient in terms of receiving benefits.

Despite its numerous advantages, the ocean requires our attention and assistance. Over the last 50 years, people’s careless behaviour toward the sea has been observed, contributing to its pollution. When polluted oil from chimneys combines with the water in our clogged draining system, it eventually ends up in the ocean. Thousands of sea creatures are also killed or have their growth stunted as a result of it.

It is time for a concerted effort to revitalise and restore the ocean to its former glory. Toxic industrial chemicals must be phased out and depleted well away from the sea. Beachgoers should also avoid polluting the sea by tossing trash into it. Governments must also raise awareness and impose harsh penalties on those who destroy Nature, the earth’s most valuable gift.

“Without water, there is no life.” “Both blue and green.”
